At the AGISD school board meeting on August 28,
the Board of Trustees set the tax rate on $100 valuation
for the Alba-Golden Independent School District for
the tax year 2023 at a total tax rate of $0.78650 to be assessed and collected by the duly specified assessor
and collector as follows:
$0.75750 for the purpose of maintenance and operations
$0.02900 for the purpose of principal and interest on debts
This no-new-revenue total tax rate of $0.78650 will LOWER M&O TAXES BY 19.66%.
Last year’s (2022-2023) total tax rate was $0.9719.
