After conducting extensive research and stakeholder surveys, the AGISD Board of Trustees voted to approve a 4-Day Instructional Week pilot program for the 2023-24, 2024-25, and 2025-26 school years. The purpose of the program is to recruit and retain high quality staff, increase planning time for teachers, provide family time for both teachers and students, and reduce student absences, among other benefits. Data will be reviewed yearly to measure the pilot’s success.
